'Nostalgia' by Tate McRae I chose to review this particular song since it just came out today on her brand new album called 'So Close to What’. I have also been a huge fan of Tate McRae for a really long time, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give my thoughts. ( Photo Source - Euphoria ) 'Nostalgia' in particular stands out to me because I had watched a podcast ( Jake Shane Podcast - 18:49-20:42 ) that she had been on, and she explained how this song was inspired by a conversation that she had with her dad. She had asked him what his biggest regret was and he said, “Not becoming an architect”.  The first line of the song says:  "Daddy went to law school and could've been an architect Now he's turnin' sixty and wonders where the big dream went ". Abbott Elementary What is Abbott Elementary? The TV show that I have chosen to discuss in my blog is the popular sitcom, Abbott Elementary. This show is essentially the elementary school version of The Office and Brooklyn Nine-Nine with the way it is filmed with short interviews and character interaction with the camera and camera crew. I watch this show on ABC almost every Wednesday at 8:30pm, but sometimes I will watch on Hulu the next day. This show began in 2021 and is still releasing episodes for the current fourth season. It has also been renewed for season 5 which I am very excited to continue watching. This show consists of extremely passionate teachers working at an underfunded, public elementary school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The teachers and principal, Ava Coleman who is played by Janelle James are faced with many challenges throughout this series whilst trying to help their students succeed not just in school but in life as well. The episode that I watched is episode...

About Me & the Information I Consume

About Me Hi, I'm Macie. I was born in Eureka, California and moved to Oregon when I was two years old. I feel a bit weird saying that I'm from California because I don't even remember living there, but I still have a ton of family there that I visit so California is still a special place for me. I will say, I definitely prefer Oregon over California. Any time I bring up going down there to visit family, people hear California and automatically assume LA, sunshine, beaches. Eureka is way up north near the coast, but not the sunny coast. I'd say it's pretty much the "Oregon Coast" of California.  Anyways, enough about California. I am in my second year at LBCC as a psychology major. My goal is to become a child and family therapist or counselor because I enjoy helping others and I feel that it is important for children and families to receive help if they're struggling with their mental health. LBCC was just a good option for because after high school I ...
